**** i love NYU, i have always wanted to go there-it's my dream school! <--i've included that in the personal statements...i'm applying RD ( had to reateke my SATs ) to CAS & i want to major in History

***and also if you are familiar w/ Fordham University-Lincoln Center Campus what my chances for that school are--thanks!!!!!

THANKS for anyone who can help!!!!!!!!! it's appreciated a lot!

how does ur school calculate ur GPA, like what do they give a B+, as opposed to a B?

my school doesn't do it like that, we just get number grades...so ijust figured out my g.p.a. in proportion to 4 points

bbbuuuummmmmmppppppp!

I don't think your SAT score is that bad... Last year a friend of mine got into NYU with an 11something and barely any ECs or community service. He was valedictorian of the class though, that probably helped. But anyway, if NYU is really your dream school, just apply. Write a good essay. I wouldn't say you'll automatically get rejected.

Don't listen to Chibi. You'll do well.

Make sure to work really hard on your essays and ask teachers who are insightful and won't make cookie-cutter recommendations. NYU is much more selective than Fordham, but your numbers are fine and I see dedication to community service. I hope you really cared about the causes you were volunteering for rather than just using them to get into college.

Other than that, you're good to go.

thanks for your comments!

NYU and Fordham are my first choices as well. I am so scared. God.

that's so cool! lol

oh and my sat IIs are:
710-Bio
680-US History

oh and my gpa (3.76) is unweighted, but it includes 7 ap classes and all of the rest are honors except for 2 classes

bump, please?

I would definitely apply to both. I’d say Fordham seems highly likely and NYU seems pretty good as well. I’d definitely encourage you to apply to NYU if its your dream school. You’ll never get in if you don’t apply. Would you mind chancing me back?

I’d say your in at fordham and definitely have a chance at nyu goodluck could u chance me back thnx

I have very similar statistics to you and NYU and Fordham are also two of my top schools.

I think you definitely have a good shot at both schools, especially Fordham. Last year my friend got into NYU with a 1900 and a 94 unweighted avg and only two varsity sports teams as her extra-curriculars amd only 5 APs.

And please chance me back!

You’ll get into Fordham, NYU we might have to wait and see
