<p>My heart is set on NYU. What are my chances?</p>
<p>SAT 1: 740 reading, 630 math, 710 writing (11 on the essay)
SAT 2: (predicted) 750+ U.S. History, 730+ English, 630+ French
I'm going to take the AP tests in U.S History, English, and French
GPA: 4.36 (weighted, out of 5)</p>
<p>Junior classes: AP U.S. History, Honors English, Honors French, Pre-Calc, Chem, Journalism
Senior classes: AP English, AP French, AP U.S. Gov, Legal, Stats, Graphic Design </p>
<p>I generally maintain a B+ average, with some A-. </p>

<p>Reasonably good essay, great recommendations. (One from my French teacher/French Club sponsor, one from my AP History teacher, one from my gymnastics coach.)</p>
<p>I'm a white female from a middle/upper class town at a competitive public high school. Second generation American on one side. (I don't need financial aid - does that up my chances?)</p>
<p>I'm most likely applying to CAS, with a double major in Journalism and something else - probably Media, Communications, and Culture. What are my chances? Let me know!</p>
