Chances for NYU Stern?

Hi! When I say nyu is my #1 choice school, you have no idea how deep that passion runs and I intend to show that in my essays. I also have a very emotional story about the loss of my best friend and how I don’t fit into my rural highschool. I also have some outstanding letters of rec.

Senior APS: 4(stats, art, english, spanish)
Total honors: 6

Unweighted GPA at a well-known and elite highschool: 3.6 and a 3.9 weighted
ACT: currently averaging a 28/29

Extracurriculars:
*head of yearbook design
*president of AP psychology club
*president of competitive photography club
*3 year varsity field hockey player
*I’m enrolled in the NYU Tisch Summer Highschool Program(I would’ve done stern if I developed my love for marketing and advertising sooner)
*I did a 2 week photography intensive at the SAIC university
*I have one 2 regional gold titles and 2 honerable mentions in scholastic art and writing competitions along with being exhibited in my local museum 3 times.
*I’ve won a Marlboro beautiful minds challenge honerable mention, which pays for me to go to the awards ceremony on the east coast for a week and mentor other aspiring artists.
*My photography is the “face” for the SAIC ECP tuition program
*I own and manage my own charity business that takes photos and donates half of the money to the local animal shelter. I’ve raised well over $1,000.

*Academic honerable mention
*Recipient of a business scholarship my freshman year

Stern is just as competitive as Harvard, Upenn Wharton, Carnegie, and other top business schools. You need really high stats to get into Stern. I also love Stern and score in the same ACT range as you. I think once we hit 32, our chances will be pretty solid (considering we have great essays)!

Stern is pretty much academic based unfortunately.

I would apply to other schools, maybe Carnegie that are pretty holistic.
