Please reply if you can help!
This is a very abstract chances thread. You have a low GPA, but you’re predicting to go to a 4.0 the last two years. With a lower GPA, the prediction of a 2300+ SAT and a 34+ ACT also makes me a little concerned. I can’t really chance you because you have no concrete stats. I will say that with such weak EC’s and volunteering, your scores would have to be stellar to make up. The internships are good; keep doing that. Again, come back whenever you have some real stats, and you’ll get more accurate chances.
alright thanks a lot. I will come back with more results next year.
I was just wondering what else do you think I can do to get my chances up to get into nyu
more ec’s and volunteer work?
To be entirely honest, just do things that you like to do, but take them to another level. If you like business, do an internship during the school year or summer or something or start a business or start a club or something. Also, volunteer work can’t hurt.
alright thanks, my HS Guidance counselor worked at NYU Admissions and said that if I get my GPA and SAT cores higher they would accept me. So i will work on everything you guys said.
Nobody has ever been admitted to a college based on hypothetical, “expected” grades and scores. NYU Stern is extremely selective and your test scores and junior grades will be critical elements in your application.
