Chances for NYU?

I have a 3.5 GPA weighted and 3.0 GPA unweighted. I recently got an email from NYU and it seems to me like I found some use with my post-high school life. I'm in several ECs (5 of them). I got a 2050 on my SAT and I'm planning to retake it next year. I got a 26 on my practice ACT, and with effort I can raise it up to a 32. What are my chances now and what should I do in order to get in??
Btw, I'm a Sophmore in IL.

Work on your SATs, as you seem to be better on them than the ACT.
Put a lot of effort into your academic life, because this is a crucial factor. You seriously need to get your GPA up.

Also, relax. You’re only a sophomore…

Luckily for you, you have plenty of time to prepare  NYU likes to see leadership positions, and a clear devotion to your extracurriculars. Also, they focus on your essay alot; they want unique applicants. Your SAT and GPA are merely measures of how hard a worker you are; but there are so many students that get 4.0s and 2400s…
