Chances for NYU

<p>First off, I know many people do this type of thing and it may be irritating for most of you on the site, but I thought it'd be worth a try.. </p>

<p>ACT- 28( I've only taken a practice test, but will be taking the actual test in september.) I'm sure I can raise this.
GPA:around a 3.8 or 3.9 weighted</p>

Elected Vice-President of ASB(student govt.)2010
Junior class rep./Commissioner of Clubs (ASB) 2009
Elected Vice-President of on-campus Invisible Children Club 2009
Publicity chair of Invisible Children 2010
Mock Legal Trial team member 2008, 2009, will be 2010
Parliamentary Debate team member 2009,will be 2010
California Scholarship Federation 2009, 2010
HS Waterpolo 2009 2010
Club water polo 2009 2010
HS Swim 2010 will be 2011
Appointed student member of HS's Site council
Volunteer at Local hospital( committed 450+ hrs.) 2007-2010
Currently employed at a local cafe, avg. 21hrs/week</p>

<p>I'm going to apply to NYU ED(w/o financial aid, if that helps)

<p>You’re pretty set if you do well on your ACTs- preferably a 29 or higher. I’d say you’re in :slight_smile: your GPA is solid for NYU and your ECs look very strong. Good luck!</p>

<p>GPA is great. ACT is great. In-school Ec’s are decent. (although not too many leadership positions). But that volunteer and employment of like 500 plus hours- thats awesoeme. I hope you did it for the good reasons, and not just to put on ur app (cause if it was for the app only , ur a freakin’ big loser.)</p>

<p>Your chances look good. and im assuming you unweighted is like 3.5, youve got alot of H/AP, and you got better from freshman to senior in GPA, not the otherway around. </p>
