chances for OOS engineering

Hey, can someone chance me for the engineering school? Also, I'm thinking that if I go into engineering that I'll also get an MBA and go into management, so I was wondering if the b-school is good. I know UT engineering is top 10 (so I guess its good lol), but in case I love the school so much I want to come back for MBA, is the biz school as comparable to everyone else as UT's engineering program is?

Stats:
demographics:
*I am an Asian Indian Male
*From a competitive public high school in Oregon: Beaverton High School, which was also rated the best AP school in Oregon, so yeah, its a smart school. (On top of that, our graduating class is rumored to be the best class of all time, and we were ranked 704 by newsweek putting us in the top 2.5% of all high schools or something like that!! This was before our class started taking APs, so that number will probably raise even more by next year because our class is that good)
Chance me for the accelerated program with UPenn please!

come on I know one of you 30 has an opinion!!

I know a dude who had a 30 ACT that got in OOS, so I mean you have pretty good chances. I would just retake the ACT. I would have bombed the science had I not known that you just have to look at the graphs and nothing else. The first practice test I took I got mid 20's and on the actual test I got a 33 on science.

more opinions please...

My son was accepted. Almost identical info (he got a 31 on the ACT). Hope you have deep pockets ~ my son was only offered loans (current costs of OOS engineering is over 40k). UT is awesome, however, when you compare the cost of in state schools (in our case Arizona State and University of Arizona ~ top 50 engineering schools). UT would have cost at least 35k/year more. Look at the stats ~ 4% OOS ~ incoming class around 7,000 ~ approx. 280 OOS which includes scholarship athletes ~ so much for geographic diversity.

looks good, just try to raise the ACT some more...or try to get 1400 on english+math SAT

The engineering program at UT is expensive even for Texas residents, Magoolacutti. UT hovers between the normal tuition for state schools and private schools.

Make sure your essay is the bomb. My stats were a whole lot lower than yours (atleast testing wise, since I only got an 1190 math/verbal SAT) my weighted gpa was a 4.4, uw 3.6. But my essay was sweet and so were my ec's and I got in oos
