What are my chances with these stats?

I also do some volunteer work and helped lead a fund raising for Darfur

Residence: I live in the breath taking lands of New Jersey, home of the mountainous landfills and the most EPA designated super sites in America.

Economic status: My family is well off financially but I would be the first generation to go to college.

Some problems: Well...I failed a Spanish class my sophmore year...it was a mixture of me being lazy and tardy all the time...needless to say, I've learned my lesson and have been doing well in school since then.

you sound a lot like me and i'm a current freshman. my class rank and SAT were higher, but the first generation status will definitely help you. good luck man

not good... it will be difficult for you to get in out of state. bring your SAT up and make sure your essays separate you from everyone else to boost your chances.

I'm going to use this thread to post my information and see what you guys think about my chances.
