Do I even have a shot given my poor GPA?

Am I not seeing the same grades as you, because what the hell are you talking about with a "poor GPA"?!

Write some meaningful essays and don't bomb the SATs, and you're in for sure.

UC's calculate GPA's differently than other colleges - they only look at your grades from the A-G classes in 10th and 11th grade, and allow a maximum of eight semesters of AP/Honors credit. You look like you're in good shape right now, so as long as you do well in junior year, I think you have a really good chance of getting in.

why was social studies ridiculous? Is there an official reason?

You look fine, but why would you want to go to UCSD?

I wanna come here because i hear their med school is very good

You need to be a California resident (with very strong stats) to apply and enroll in their joint program.

If you want to go to their med schoo, will going to UCSD for UG even help?

Nah, metriculation from UG to Med school at UCSD doesn't happen very often. I suggest going somewhere else and applying to UCSD, UCLA, UCSF, blah blah blah for med school after. From my own personal experience, professor-student relations aren't that great compared to other schools fo UG, and you definitely need those relationships for recommendations when you apply to med school. Take this into consideration when choosing schools.
