Chances For Out Of State HBCUs

I Am A Junior Living In New York With A 3.0 GPA , I Will Take The Sat Next Month , And I Would Just Like To Know What I Need, To Get Into These Schools Below, Like What My SAT Score Should Be, And Other Stuff that can help me out. Especially since none of those schools are in my state, Thanks

Delaware State University
Norfolk State University
Virginia State University
Bowie State University
Grambling State University
Kentucky State University
South Carolina State University
North Carolina Central University
Albany State University
Dillard University

You are fine with your GPA. Don’t know if you know but there are a lot of New Yorkers who attend Norfolk State, Hampton, Morgan and NCA&T. If you have one school in particular that youre thinking about, go to that school’s website and check the SAT scores from their last freshman class to get an idea. I know that some HBCUs use ACT scores more than SAT, so look into which one that they use more than the other.

Also, if your EC’s are fairly decent dont exclude Howard from your list as well.

Also in NC…
Johnson C. Smith University (Charlotte NC)
Winston-Salem State University
Fayetville State U.
Elizabeth City State Univ.
St. Augustine’s University (Raleigh NC)
Shaw University(Raleigh NC)
Bennet College (a women’s collge)

Thanks , And What are " EC’s " ?

Extra Curriculars

you can probably get admitted, but you probably won’t get anything in terms of merit money with a 3.0 (so outside of any federal aid,) you will have to pay the balance of the cost.
