Hey, I'd really appreciate it if anyone could give me some tips on what to improve for college applications.

GPA: 3.97, above a 4.3 weighted

Courses: all honors and AP, taking 3 AP courses this year and a total of 10 by graduation. 5 in AP World History. Next year's classes are: AP Lit, AP Comparative Government, BC Calc, AP Micro/Macroeconomics, AP Computer Science, AP Physics, Symphonic Orchestra.

PSAT: 2090, 98th percentile. Reading 68, Math 66, Writing 75.
SAT: 2060 - Reading 650, Math 700, Writing 710. This is rather old, and I honestly have no idea what happened with reading, but I'll be taking a summer course and hopefully have around a 2150 come October.
I took the SAT 2 Math 2 and US History tests, but haven't received scores yet.

Extracurriculars:
- I am a Life Scout, and will likely be completing my Eagle project over the summer. Served as patrol leader numerous times.
- First chair cellist for 4 years, organize sectionals, private lessons.
- Member of the chamber orchestra, in which I've played in a quartet at numerous events over the last 2 years.
- Member of an out of school orchestra.
- Member of the robotics team for 5 years, beginning in 8th grade. I've developed experience in mechanical engineering, a bit of programming, and will be leading the Animation team this coming year.
- Member of Math Honor Society for 3 years, top scorer in JV Math.
- National Honor Society.
- Should be getting a civics seal for community service over the summer.
- Recognized scholar in National Merit for PSAT scores.

I'm pretty sure that's it. I certainly need to work on improving my SAT scores, and will be taking the ACT in September as well, which I believe is better suited for me, and I then wouldn't have to show SAT 2 scores if they were low.

I would consider Penn my "dream school" as it has a Digital Media Design program in the engineering department that combines computer animation (which I have quite a portfolio for) and computer engineering. I'm still indecisive about what to major in otherwise, however, but it would most likely be some form of engineering. My choices follow up with Cornell, Carnegie Mellon (which I may prefer over Cornell), Virginia Tech, and UVA.

Thanks for your advice and suggestions!
