I'm currently a senior and these are my stats so far through junior year. Wherever possible I will be applying as a business major. If it means anything, I'm a white male from NY. This is most likely the list of schools I'm applying to so I'm curious about my chances.

Please chance me for the following schools:
UPenn
MIT
Cornell
U of Michigan
Carnegie Mellon
Wash U in St. Louis
U of Virginia
Georgetown

Anyone???

Remind me, where are you intending to apply ED/EA?

You have strong ECs and grades, and your ACTs > SATs. Hope you’ve got strong recs and essays…I don’t see your ECs as something that pops out though, just as strong stuff. My thoughts:

UPenn: Mid Reach
MIT: Reach
Cornell: Low Reach…ED might give you a strong shot
U of Michigan: Match
Carnegie Mellon: Match or Low Reach
Wash U in St. Louis: Match or Low Reach
U of Virginia: Match
Georgetown: Low Reach

You look a strong candidate for many schools on your list, and have may get accepted to many.

Chance back?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1550070-looking-some-helpful-input-chance-me.html

I plan to apply ED To Penn and EA to anywhere that has nonbinding EA.

Your academics are impeccable and super competitive for all these schools, but with no hooks or unique ECs, you might have some difficulty getting into the most selective ones.

UPenn: high reach
MIT: high reach
Cornell: low reach
UMich: mid match
CMU: high match
WashU: low reach
UVA: high match
Georgetown: low reach

Good luck! :)

Thanks for the response

For MIT especially, unique ECs matter a ton.

I’d agree w/ thebeatlestoday.

Ah, if only having unique ECs was easy

I agree with the above posters, except in my opinion, CMU is also a low reach. You may not be applying as an engineering major but it’s still fairly difficult to get into.

Well actually for CMU I’m getting a letter of recommendation from my dad’s boss who is an alum and pretty large supporter of the university.
