chances for penn state?

<p>Hey guys i was hoping you could maybe give me a better idea of whether or not i can get into penn state university park..</p>

<p>My stats:
-graduating in 2013
-gpa-3.56
-all honors and ap courses, have never taken a course below honors
have taken:
AP biology
-AP Economics
-AP english language and composition
-am going to take senior year:
-AP Chemistry
-AB calculus
-AP government
-Also regarding courses our school offers an honors interdisciplinary course in which they combine both history and English, have been taking that since sophomore year and will next year as well
SAT scores:
Math-780
Reading-680
writing-640
school does not offer class rank
- I Am also on the squash team, I volunteer at our local library, I tutor underprivileged kids in elementary school
-interned at a doctors office sophomore year
-I am the treasurer of our school chapter of fbla (was last year as well; have won several awards)
-model congress
lastly my school is a newsweek "gold" standard school, one of the best in the state of PA (meaning i am in state for penn state as well)

<p>You should be fine, especially you are an in-state student applying to an in-state college.
Your SAT scores are decent for Penn State, 2100 is more than enough for Penn State. Your GPA, however, is kind of low, if based on a 4.0 scale. If you can get that up to at least a 3.6/3.7, you should be an excellent candidate for Penn State! Good Luck!</p>

<p>Your GPA is a little low, but you should be fine. I know plenty of in-state people who had around a 3.5, it would be better if you had a 3.6/7 though, so maybe apply in the winter and not the fall.</p>
