So how are my chances for the School of Pharmacy?

I’d say they’re not very strong, but not too weak either. You have a pretty average GPA but the SAT score is good and you have lots of ECs. I think you should definitely write the essay about the orphanage in India, so far that’s what really sets you apart.

Rutgers Pharm is super selective…I really wanted to go there but gave up that dream when I found out how much I really hated Chemistry. I know their expectations are generally high, but I know they’ve rejected kids with perfect SAT/II scores, APs, ECs, you name it…but they’ve also accepted kids with almost no ECs and just average grades.

I really don’t know how they do it…maybe they pick out of a hat? But the application is up already, I suggest you just fill it out and send it in as early as you can. You don’t have to worry about teacher recs either so it’s really a fast process.

Hope that helps!

LOL they took someone from my school who pretty much failed chem and is only in it for the money

EDIT: I actually got a C in AP Biology (not my thing). I made a typo, I got a B in chemistry honors. Sorry for the confusion.

Everything I said still stands.
