Please chance me, I am in 8th grade and applying for freshman year in Phillips Academy Andover. My SSAT score was in the 85th percentile, with 716 in verbal, 734 in math, and 695 in reading (I know...not so great.) with a 2145 total.

I do volunteer work for about 2 hours a week at a therapy place and participate in synchronized swimming, horseback riding, tennis, and fencing. I have played piano for 8 years and violin for 5 years, go to Russian School of Math for 4 hours a week, and I am captain of my school's academic bowl team, which competes against other teams (like jeopardy kind of, but the teachers select you to be in the team) in the region. I was born in U.S but my heritage is Chinese, so I know I'm going against a lot of other really smart people, and I am bilingual.

I took the SAT today for the John Hopkin's Talent Search, which may or may not count for admissions (I emailed admissions today to check). I have all A's/A+'s, and I haven't gotten anything lower than an A- in my life.

I guess my essay was strong, and I'm pretty good at creative writing and stuff, even though it might not show in this because I used the word "I" about 20 bajillion times. :P The interviewer said I had a good personality, and I think my recommendations were good, too. :)

I'm also applying as a day student, if that matters. Oh yeah, and I'm a girl. XD

Please chance me, and thank you for reading that incredibly LONG rant!
