Hey guys,
8th grade going to 9th
Im an all A's student
SSAT is a 90th percentile average
had awesome interviews
Extra curriculars
* Tennis. good
* Art. really good
* Karate. really good
* Kumon math program, math as an enrichment, 11th grade math
* Westford Library Young Adult Advisory Board, volunteer work
* Indian Folk Dancing. private tutors
* First Lego League (robotics competition)

Oh and by the way, my teacher and extracurricular reccomendations were probably very good as well.

They'll probably really like Indian Folk Dancing and First Lego League. Also, the eleventh grade math is great. Are you on an actual team for tennis? Any awards for art? Would you consider your essays to be good? If so, I'd say you have an average chance for Groton & Middlesex. If you want to get into Andover, maybe add a bit more ECs. But there's still a chance. Good luck. :)

Yes, i was on the school travel team
I have many, many awards for art and Karate.
Yes, my essays are good.

indian folk dancing... whoaaa.... are you an international applicant?

lol, no, im not international. Im just extremely excited and eager about boarding school.

i think you have a good chance.
good luck!!

Thanks, you too!

you sound like a perfect match. Good luck!

I just have a quick question for you guys.
On what basis do you chance me?
and thanks for all of your positivity, wow..

Basing you on your statistics is easiest, because it's hard to determine how involved you are with your extracurriculars in real life. Based on what you've said, though, your grades are superb and your extracurriculars are unique. Your SSAT scores are a little low for Phillips Academy, right on track for Groton School, and above for Middlesex School. If it's not too late, maybe you could retake the SSAT. At any rate, I'd say you have a decent shot at Phillips Academy and a great shot at Groton School and Middlesex School. Good luck!

Lol vom doesn't know what he/she is talking about. 90 is perfectly fine for all your schools. Don't waste your time retaking.

As a Brit I can't help but laugh at vom's screen name because in the UK we refer to vomit as vom

thats... not relevant.

Sorry I came and rained on your perfect parade of a thread, get a sense of humor or at least lighten up

It could come across as mean though, because you dont know what vom means to him.

Let's not read into things too deeply... We're on an internet forum and you're trying to look for hidden meanings in a three-letter screen name

You could tell me that TomTheCat sounds like a name for a tramp but it wouldn't bother me even though my cat's name is Tom. But maybe that's because I know how to filter crap I read on the internet. Sorry, vom sounds like vomit! It's like that kid AlextheCheesyPoo. I made fun of the hell out of his name (and so did everyone else) but he could take it because he realized that his name put ugly images in peoples' heads

alright alright.. relax , lol alexthecheesypoo is pretty funny

heyy, i think you have a pretty good chance, but so do many others who apply.
i am pretty much on the same boat as you.
we have the same EC's except i have a bit more. [karate, indian, kumon, etc but no lego thing]
im applying for 10th grade though
what level of Kumon you doing?
im only applying for andover.
goodluck!

Im on level J, also, i have many other ec's such as CTY that i forgot to mention

Good luck to you too!
