These are my friend's sats. She, for some reason, has had trouble registering with this site and finally asked someone else to post her stats... I posted them elsewhere and no one responded. And thus the big debate ensued because she put "hispanic, from Spain" on them, which many don't think counts. Just to note that. I am feeling charitable and want to help her get a realistic assessment of where she'll get in.

Applications: UNC Chapel Hill, Wake, Vanderbilt, Tulane, Northwestern, Wash U, Boston U, Harvard, Princeton, Columbia, UPenn, Emory

Can you rank my chances at these places?

Thanks!

Chances are on the low side to be honest. Nothing stands out to me.

in at tulane, boston u, and unc

rejected at the rest.

Hmm. I say definites for those. But also Emory, Wake, and Vandy (I mean, please, they accept over 40% of applicants). Thanks for the advice. I'll relay the message (nicely).

haha, don't take ilcapo too seriously

i think she has a good chance at all except maybe harvard and princeton and columbia

UNC Chapel Hill - 95%
Wake - very good chance
Vanderbilt - my friend got in last year top 15% of class 1300 sat u are stronger candidate im pretty sure u have a very good chance
Tulane - definitely 100% friend got in with a 1100 top 20% sat 2s around 600
Northwestern - its ok reach
Wash U - good chance
Boston U - very good chance
Harvard - relatively little chance
Princeton - relatively little chance
Columbia - relatively little chance
UPENN - relatively little chance
Emory - ok

we kinda need more than just SAT scores. but based only on SAT scores - her sat 2s arent very strong. we need her gpa. she has decent ECs. nothing relaly stands out. she has ok shot at HP and columbia and upenn. the rest shes pretty much a shoe-in

i don't know, i think she has a chance at UPenn. she seems better than a lot of the kids from my school who go there.

Sorry! I forgot her GPA and rank. I'd guess 3.8 uw, 4.8 w (we have a weird scale) and 3/333
