4th Place in Singing Competition
I lived in relatively undeveloped nations for the last 3 years... the schools were small and I couldn't do much extra curricular activities

Hook
My principal is writing a letter specially for me, and I went to four different high schools.

Essay
I think my essay will be pretty good.
It is about how I determined to help the people in need after having a near death experience. It connects with the Red Cross Club.

My supplement is about how my soccer coach helped me I overcome racism and develop into a man.

I know Princeton is a dream school for me, but I think I might regret if I don't apply.
Thanks for reading!

The good news is that you are definitely competitive, the bad news is that its still Princeton. I would say your hook is definitely the red cross and near death experience as opposed to the principal writing you a letter. Though I definitely don’t mean to down play that part. You’ve got the impressive resume and credentials, just make sure you set yourself apart even more so with your essay.

Try to bump up your SATs if you can and keep working at your GPA.

Princeton: Reach
U Chicago: Mild Reach
Stanford : Mild/slight Reach
Northwestern: Match
UCB: Match

Good Luck!

Princeton and Stanford both reaches. U chicago also reach but lower.
I think you need to add schools that are not super competitive. Most all on your list are super competitive.
What country are you from? Also whether or not you need financial aid will be a factor.

If you are Chinese do not take the SAT II chinese … it will be discounted

Thanks for the replies!
Haha no, I’m not Chinese. I’m Korean (S.K. to be exact).
I will definitely need financial aid…

Totally Agree with kpeterson2011
You have a good chance at most of those schools.
My opinion: since you are asian you may have a harder time getting in.
Wish you best of luck
