Extremely good chances. No need to retake SAT (in fact, it’d be pretty ridiculous if you did). Apply to Harvard, Yale, Stanford, and any other schools you’re interested in, because chances are, you’ll get in. GL! :D

For a typical applicant, your stats would be excellent. Considering your ethnicity, however, I think you pretty much have a guarenteed acceptance at whichever college you want.

Even without your URM status, which counts for a lot, you stand a much better chance than the majority of the applicants. I’m sure you’ll get in everywhere you apply.

You have almost nothing to worry about. Keep up the good work!
I don’t think there is a need to retake the SATs. At the 2300+ level, colleges pay more attention to your ECs.

You could even hurt yourself retaking the SAT. It looks really obsessive when you’re above the 2300 mark, and there’s a fair chance you’ll go down due to bad luck, which looks rediculous.

By the way, I think you have a great shot at Princeton.

Ranked top 10-ish overall by the National Forensics League

Can you tell me how you got this nationally ranked number? Not to come off rude, but you didn’t win Glenbrooks, Emory, Harvard or anything of that nature according to your app so 10th overall in the league is really interesting (i never knew they even ranked people overall, i thought just in general events).

By the way, you have a great shot at getting in ^_^!

You’re pulling that ranking out of thin air. The NFL doesn’t officially rank anyone in any event, unless you consider placement at the NFL Grand National Tournament as a ranking mechanism.

Nonetheless, I, along with all those that have posted thus far, would be shocked if you were not admitted into Princeton or any university of your choice.

^ Ah, very interesting. I could of sworn that their was a website that did some type of ranking for individual events, but whatever. I am guessing the non-state awards are regional ones?

Also, Princeton is the ivy that doesn’t count freshman grades right?

Right. On their website, they keep records of overall point totals derived from your participation and success in all events. LD, CX, PF, Extemp, DI, or whatever event you do, it counts towards your rank with the amount of points yielded dependent on how you place in a given tournament, how many wins you pick up, and so on. The non-state awards are from NFL Grand Nationals. As for ToCs, we don’t really have that sort of funding available on my squad.

You have really good chances at Princeton, although from what I’ve been hearing on CC it’s a crapshoot for anyone.
I wouldn’t retake the SAT I, considering a 2310 is something to be very proud of.
Good luck!
:)

You are a very solid applicant with excellent stats; I don’t see you being rejected from Princeton or most other top-notch schools. Congrats. on your great SAT score, good ECs, and solid grades soph/jun year. :)

BTW, does the NFL rank in terms of a career basis or year-to-year?I just completed my first year in debate and would like to know how this system works.

Besides the fact that you scored about 100 pts higher on the SAT, you and I are astoundingly similar people:

I’m biracial (black/white), have the same UW/W GPA, poetry and creative nonfiction/journalism are my passions, I’m the captain of varsity debate, the head of political action club, ect. ect.

Weird. Anyway, you’ve got a great shot. It’d be beyond anomalous if you were to get rejected by all of your top choices; you’re sure to get into some great schools.

The points system encourages students to participate in more events than they can handle well. It is not synonymous with excellence. No NFL Champion has ever been on that list of 150.

A more accurate description on your resume would be “NFL All-American (Top 10).” That’s nothing to be scoffed at, but it is radically different from being ranked in the top ten. Ranking insinuates success in a particular event. All-Americans rarely do well on the national circuit in their events.

Again, I don’t mean to quibble. This doesn’t detract from your college application. In fact, it serves quite the opposite purpose! Good luck in the admissions process.
