Chances for Public Policy Major: Ivies + Top Publics

I agree that an academic record is key. After this semester I’ll have a 3.9, a research project, independent study, and a science lab course completed, so hopefully this will establish a strong academic foundation for my application.

I’ve done a lot after high school and have had a lot happened, I’m just trying to answer everyone’s comments and questions while explaining why I’m choosing the things I’m choosing.

Honestly after doing research these past couple days, I’ve realized that a person like me, with my background. Would be better suited for things like ethics or public policy. I feel like investment banking was just an idea or pathway rather to a high paying job in a coveted field. I think I’m going to pour all my focus on Public Policy and see where it takes me. I think this will be a more clear and concise journey for me as I can pivot to law school as contributing to inclusive policies to aid the advancement of human rights is my true passion.

I think it is amazing to reach! Part of the issue is you are a transfer student and not a freshman/first year. It is very hard to get into an ivy it is in most cases harder to get in as a transfer student. Have you thought of schools in DC? With your interest in public policy. IU Bloomington has a good program as well.
