Hey guys! I was deferred during early admission and that's okay, really. Georgia Tech is my dream school though and I was accepted to UGA early so I figure I am competitive for regular admission. I'd like your opinions though. :)

Objective:
SAT I (breakdown): 670 M, 670 CR, 640 W
ACT: 34 E, 28 M, 31 CR, 31 W (09 on essay)
Unweighted GPA (out of 4.0): 3.89 UW / 3.95 W
Rank (percentile if rank is unavailable): Top 10%
AP (place score in parenthesis): USH (3) Biology (5).
Senior Year Course Load: Earth Systems, Art, AP Euro, AP Lang, Work-Based Learning, AP Lit, Trigonometry, Calculus (not AP)

Subjective:
Extracurriculars (place leadership in parenthesis): I know I put these on my EA application: Interact (President), Relay for Life Club (Secretary), Health Occupations Students of America, and some other club. When I get the chance to update them on this semester, I'll also mention the fact that I am in Beta Club and was accepted into NHS after applying.

Job/Work Experience: I have been working at an optometrist after school since November 2009 as an "Optical Technician". I perform testing on patients, sit in with the doctor and enter all the medical data, teach patients how to put in CL, etc. (I had to quit this job at the end of last semester (December 2010) because I dropped Work-Based Learning to take Calculus this semester.

Volunteer/Community service: I volunteered at my local hospital this summer for 30ish hours (the max teens are allowed to do at that hospital). I also do volunteering with Interact and my other clubs.

Essays: "Excellent" according to the many people I had read it.

Other

Income Bracket: I'm not sure tbh, my parents are very secretive about this.
Hooks (URM, first generation college, research, etc.): Nothing outside of my school/ECs.

I'm taking the SAT one more time next weekend to try to raise my math SAT score, but I don't think my score is bad or anything. Maybe a 50 point boost will make me more competitive. I was deferred when I did not have Calculus in my schedule (my school wouldn't let me take it until they saw that I was deferred). I am taking Trigonometry and Calculus at the same time, which is difficult but I am being helped out by my teachers and potentially a tutor if I need it. I think signing up for Calculus after being deferred will make them realize how serious I am and hopefully accept me.

What do you guys think? Be honest with me. :)
