Chances for RD Applicant

Tell me what you guys think. You can be brutally honest. I’ve already heard the worst from my guidance counselor; I don’t think anyone could outdo her.

GPA - 2.96 unweighted (low, i know.)
SAT I - 650 CR, 710 M, 700 W
SAT II - 680 Math I, 550 Lit

AP Classes: US Hist, Bio, Stat, MicroEcon, MacroEcon, English Lang/Lit, Euro Hist

Extracurricular activities: FBLA, Varsity Speech & Debate Club President, Community Service Board

Great essay and recommendations

Hmm....
The test scores are above average
The GPA is low, BUT you are in some hard classes, harder than the average applicant. That may very well make up for the low GPA. Or it could not.
Decision: 50/50 Split

That's what a lot of people are saying. Also, while my GPA is relatively low, I'm still in the top quarter of my class because of the number of AP and honors courses I take.

I am the same deal.

2.9 UW/3.1 W GPA

720 Math/670 Verbal/620 Writing

740 Math IIC/590 US History/???? Physics

My GPA would be 3.2 UW/3.4 W if it were not for a terrible sophomore year in which I had many family ordeals.

Good luck to you!

... i really don't know... your GPA is kinda low.. but your SATs are high... but i think your in luck... AU i believe cares more about SAT then GPA... (at least thats whta i believe.... from what my friends have told me...) one of my friends from college.. one of his friends got REJECTED from AU with these kinds of stats:
1030 SAT
3.9 GPA

so yeah.... but yet again thats only one case.... idk... i'm not an admissions director... i'm just a student... and yeah... in the end it doesn't matter what I say anyway... you've done all u can... now you've just gotta wait it out... good luck

Chances?
NY resident
GPA: 3.7 unweighted
SAT: 680M 650V 730W
SAT2: 650, 600 (that's the part that makes me worried kinda)
500+ hrs of hospital volunteering
clubs: debate, mock trial, drama, literary staff magazine manager
4.0 gpa from gwu credit classes, 3.9 gpa from queens college credit classes

I know you guys aren't admissions officers, but this college process is making me so nervous and I need to know!

...u shouldn't be worried about SAT2 scores... AU doesn't require them... hell i didn't even take them... and i got in....

you have more then a good chance of getting in... again my stats were lower and i got in... yet again u never know....
