I have never completely understood the value of ‘Chance Me’ threads. However, I see absolutely no value in ArKhAiK’s response to Sarah. First, ArK’s assessment without context or explanation has no value, period. Second, what gives someone credibility to assess the chance of admission one way or another? The only assessment that I’d pay any attention to is the assessment from an admissions official.

Sarah, you need to think hard about whether Haverford is the right place for you. If you think it is, then go for it. There are no guarantees in admission, so have alternative schools in mind - you know - the usual mix of Target and Safety schools.

Hmm… agree with BlindWilly, that was an odd response Ark… Sarah94 has a distinctive background which makes her an interesting candidate. For those who have applied or will apply, I wish good fortune to all of you…

ArKhAik-not really sure what the satirical value of your judgement was…yes, I realize that Chance Me threads aren’t highly accurate, I’ve just used them to try to get a sense of where I fall, apart from comparing my SATs to those reported by the school. As an update, my SAT 1 has gone up to a 2040- (CR-760, M-580, W-700) and my subject tests are now US History-680, and Lit-710.

arkhaik,
Dude, didn’t you write at one point you wanted to “shoot yourself in the foot” when on campus because of the awkward students? Does your continued interest and postings on this forum mean this is no longer an issue or that you feel now you may fit in (grin)?

PS: awkward interactions are a two way street my friend and you just caused a wreck ;)
