Chances for RD?

I am planning to apply for Brown on RD since I ended up sending my ACT scores there on a whim in September. I was wondering if I even have a chance of being accepted because I am, in many ways, an average applicant to Brown. I plan to pursue the Modern Media concentration with photojournalism as my emphasis

Academics
GPA: 3.9 Unweighted / 4.247 Weighted
ACT Composite 33: 35E 35R 27M 33S 31W (11s in all writing sections; I was also the first ACT test group with the new essay portion)
SAT 2040 (Did not report this score to Brown): 680R, 630M, 730W
AP: 4 Bio, 4 Stats, taking Studio Art this year
Graduating with 56 college credits (which obviously won’t transfer; I don’t know if they look at Dual Credit at all as academic rigor?)
Class Rank: 23/242 Unweighted / 13/242 Weighted
Business Professionals of America State Qualifier
United States Academic Decathlon National Medalist (as a freshman)
Journalism Education Association National Write-Off Award Winner
National Merit Letter of Commendation

Extracurriculars
Student Council as Sec/Tres, VP, Press Director
Nationally award winning school newspaper as Business Manager, Photo Editor, and News Editor
Will apply for Journalist of the Year through JEA
Applied for a YoungArts grant with my AP Art portfolio and photography, prerequisite for a Presidential Scholar in the Arts
Writing and Photography have been published in local and state-wide papers
Cross Country Runner
Will likely get a 4 or a 5 on my AP Art exam, I submitted my portfolio of artwork as well with the application

Uniqueness?
LGBTQIA student
Auto-immune disease
I live in Canada in the summer and speak French conversationally (I haven’t taken three years of a foreign language is what I’m worried about)
My paternal uncle is a photographer for InStyle / Vogue / NatGeo and I have been mentored by him personally; I don’t know if I should include that since I haven’t been published by any of those publications as a result.

Thank you so much for your time & help!

I don’t think your an average applicant. Your EC’s are pretty strong relative to the “average applican.” Your UW GPA Is up there where it needs to be. Not taking 3 or 4 years of a foreign language coudl be a problem. Yes, Dual Credit is recognized as academic rigor regardless of whether the credits are accepted. You have not taken a lot of AP’s and appear to be shying away from either AP Calc AB or BC but other than that you have an interesting application

The challenge is if you marketed yourself with what you listed as “unique” what will Brown think? Those are not things that check boxes for the school, or are unique. Are you a Young Arts winner?
