Chances for Regular Decision

I didn't apply anywhere early, but I have already sent my apps out for:

Princeton
Cornell
Carnegie Mellon
Penn State (Schryer)
Embry Riddle
Drexel

I'm also applying to Penn and maybe MIT. For all of the schools I applied to the engineering programs, except for Penn, where I plan on applying to Wharton. Here are my stats:

GPA
- Weighted 100 scale: 99.5

Class Rank
- 3rd out of 851

AP:
-Government and Politics 4
-US History 5
-Spanish Language 4

When I graduate, I will have taken 8 AP classes, including the four listed above. This year I am taking AP English (designed for the AP Lit test), AP Physics (I'll be taking Mechanics, not sure about E&M), AP Calc BC, and AP Euro. Also, my AP Comp. Sci. class was an independent study

ECs:
- Concert Choir (auditioned) 9th-12th
- Encore Singers (auditioned 32 singers from a school of 4000) 12th

For my senior project, I worked at Drexel University where I designed, constructed, and tested a Microstrip Patch antenna. The project lasted six months from start to finish, allowing my partner and I to fully experience the collegiate level of research and study.

This past summer I attended the PA Governor's School for International Studies. To get in I had to go through an application process of sorts and apparently the acceptance rate is about 20%.

Awards:
- National Merit Semi-Finalist (Finalist pending)
- Distinguished Honor Roll 9th-12th
- AATG German Level III test highest scorer in Philadelphia and Delaware state area
-Numerous class awards, including awards for AP US History, AP German, AP Comp. Sci., and Robotics Programming

Recs:
I asked my AP US History teacher, who was also my Global Studies teacher and Hi-Q faculty adviser, for one. He gave me the award for AP US History. Likewise, I asked my AP Computer Science independent study adviser for a recommendation. I had had him for Robotics Programming as well, and he had given me the AP Computer Science award. I enjoy good relationships with both teachers.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

The only school you have a shot at is Penn State, and that's definitely a reach. Go get a job at McDonald's like Alex's mom.

Thanks Phil

Also, you didn't take the Spanish AP test. You took German.

yea, you're right

What I'm really worried about are my extra curriculars, and my Physics SAT II score... Hopefully my other stats cancel them out?

Aim for the burrito wrapper job at Taco Bell.

you are fine. Sure you don't have the BEST ECs in the world, but you are fine for most of your schools. HYP are HYP, so nothing is certain

I haven't sent my Physics SAT II score to Penn, should I?

I don't think I need to, without having sent it, they already have my US History, Math IIC, and German language. And physics was my lowest score.
