ummm..... bump

95%

high potential for scholarship money

I think you have a great chance. Miami is desperate to improve their minority admits so that is a huge plus. The 8 years in one EC is also a great plus - shows commitment. Your grades and test scores are squarely in the middle 50% - a match. You list yourself in the top 20% - if you can get yourself to the top 15%, you would qualify for their regular out of state scholarship.

thanks, hopefully after they recalculate rank I will be. Any other thoughts?

Actually, on second look, I think your SAT might need to be a few points higher, too. I think they want a 1280, coupled with the 15% for the scholarship. Are you taking it again?

But as far as admittance, I think you're in easy.

Yea, Im going to take it in october but do you really think im in easy?

Yes. If you get to the 1280 SAT and 15% class rank, that is not just the people they admit - it is the people they give money to! Plus, you are a URM at a school that is desperately trying to improve their diversity. As long as you don't have some deep dark secret you haven't mentioned, and you don't screw up your essays, or your senior year, I would think they'd love to have you.

nice, thnx binx

super, you should come here..... Miami is awesome
