Chances for Regular

<p>Hi Everyone! I love Columbia so much, but am not set on applying early decision. Do you think you could help me decide my chances for regular? I am an Egyptian-American who was born overseas.<br>

<p>You definitely have a chance, but if you can, maybe try to bring that SAT math score up. Also, Columbia is very hard to get into Regular Decision, since they take 45% of their incoming class from the Early Decision pool. Just keep that in mind, and if you know Columbia is definitely your first choice school and money is not an issue, I'd say go for the ED. You will have a much better chance.</p>

<p>Thanks so much Jangel for your advice. I know, that math score really does bring me down. Columbia really does have an amazing early decision acceptance, I guess I just can't be that bold.</p>

<p>Just one more question: does being Egyptian-American help?</p>

<p>I would say yes...Columbia leans toward diversity</p>
