On first read, I could've sworn I saw that you cured cancer...

You have a great chance at Rice. As far as R/B goes, it'll be tough competition and I'm not sure that your credentials speak to Medical experience (tell us about your research and how involved you've been). Also, how does your GPA stand in your class?

Best luck.

Hahaha

No class rank at my school -- its a really competitive boarding school
The research dealt with developing a more effective protocol for the triage of brain hemorrhage patients (almost entirely MY project). I had alot of experience surveying various emergency room chiefs and neurosurgeons trying to develop perspectives for my project.

the extra curriculars will help you get into rice...and even narrow down for the interview selection. however, i dont htink they speak much for your commitment in the medical field. so try to get that in there too

Thanks jakpot and serge for your input. I will try to obtain more med related opportunities.

volunteer in hospitals, participate in research, watch surgeries, attend conferences, etc...
