thanks for ur help!

i thought the pharmacy program was very competitve no?

well it's still Rutgers...so I'd say you're in.

anyone else??

any other opinions?

Fencing captain! That's awesome. I was sabre captain for my school (Somerville).

Anywho, you're in. Don't even bother with getting recommendations. Rutgers hardly ever reads them. For something like pharmacy, they only care about grades/rank/SAT I.

thanks a lot
i really appreciate it!

Don't worry. You will get in...did you get in already? Apply to LIU just in case. Good luck yaar.

thanks
i think im going to send in my app within the next two weeks

When are you planning to enroll?

fall of 08

you guys are severely underestimating the selectivity of the RU pharmacy program.

SubMachineNips, what do u think my chances are?

i think you'll be fine. your stats are about average... maybe a tad lower. but being in-state will make up for it

Everyone over hypes Rutgers University and their pharmacy program. In reality, pharmacy is pharmacy no matter where you go, and everyone will have the SAME job opportunities after graduation. I know friends who turned down Ernest Mario at Rutgers University to go to pharmacy at St. John's University. I turned down University of the Sciences in Philadelphia to go to SJU. The point is, it doesn't matter where you go for pharmacy, because in 6 years you will graduate with the same Pharm.D, and you'll have a job at CVS, Walgreens, Eckerds, or in industy, or at a company.

...just the view of a current 4th year Pharm student.

thank you pinkpillowzz! im being pressured about getting into Rutgers Pharm., but i know i have better chances at other schools
i assumed you'd be getting the same degree wherever you go... so yeahh
do you recommend going straight to 6 year programs or going to undergrad (let's say somewhere like cornell) and then going to 4 year pharmacy graduate schools...
