Hospital volunteering [115 hrs]
Chinese school volunteering [probably about 80hrs] I'm part of the exec. board for it, there's five of us.

Graduated all 12 levels of Chinese school in freshman year, started taking classes since I was 5. Also took the HSK (Chinese proficiency test)
Study Abroad/summer program in China with scholarship for about 6 weeks, was also in charge of 5 other students younger than me.

I also did the BU Summer Challenge this July.

I'm thinking of majoring in Accounting and then taking pre-med/dental classes, or just pharmacy, if I can get in.

you’ll definately get into rutgers sas or sebs, but not into the business or pharm program. they’re one of the best pharm programs in the nation and their business program is pretty good. ur sat’s aren’t high enough but you can always retake them. the rank, however, really hurts you, u needa be in like top 5%. and you can’t really do the 6 year pharm program without being in the school of pharmacy. you can just get your bachelor’s and take the pcats, it’s the same track sort of, it’s just that with the pharm program you dont have to take the pcat

With that ACT score you can get almost a full scholarship to Rutgers, but i dont know if you can get into pharm with that.
RU-Pharm is really prestigious, it’s the best on the east coast and they only accept exceptional students.

I’m going to tell you the same thing I told a kid a few days ago: your best bet is to apply ASAP, within the next two weeks or so. Pharm accepts some overqualified kids, but then also some kids who arent very special at all. I’m guessing it works on a first come first serve basis.

Your AP Chem score isn’t that strong, you might not want to send it.

I definitely agree with sofie – apply ASAP! I’m a freshman in RU Pharmacy right now, and some of my classmates admitted that their SAT scores were on the low end (although your ACT is pretty good.) I think you have an okay chance as long as you apply early and do the essay.

Yeah, definitely do the essay; you dont get considered for scholarship otherwise.

Thanks guys, I know they’re pharmacy program is really prestigious and it’s a reach; any other opinions on business, though?
By the way, I’m thinking of not sending my SAT scores at all.

Yeah, your ACT score is better.
The SAT score is ~33 on the ACT

Your SAT is really not that bad at all, I know plenty of kids in pharm who did worse on it than you. In fact I’d be willing to bet both your SAT and ACT scores are higher than the majority of pharm students…
