Chances for Rutgers or NC State

Hi. I currently live in North Carolina. I would be considered out of state for Rutgers and in state for NC State. I am currently a high school senior and applied for Fall 2011. I applied Early Action for both universities (NC State: Oct. 15th deadline; Rutgers: Nov. 1st deadline). What are my chances for these colleges? (Stats Below)

Rutgers: School of Arts and Sciences - New Brunswick
School of Environmental and Biological Sciences - New Brunswick

NC State: First Year College
Biological Sciences

Here are my stats:

GPA UW: 3.5
GPA W: 4.1
ACT: 23 (Equivalent to a 1590/2400 on the SAT)
RANK: Top 13%
I will have a total of 4 AP classes at the end of graduation. I have had a High B/A average throughout high school. I have a decent amount of extracurricular activities and work experience for a few months.

For Rutgers and NC State, I had my application submitted and completed near the end of September. I still have not heard from either!? Do you know when I should find out for Rutgers? (People who applied after me have already found out at Rutgers New Brunswick!)

Considering I am out of state and my stats, what are my chances at these two universities?

anyone’s input can be helpful…?

I just got in today to the school of environmental and biological sciences. i got a 1200/1600 on my SAT. 1850/2400. I have one AP which is Bio. I have a 3.7 gpa.

Don’t know about NC, but for Rutgers I think you have a 50/50 shot. Your GPA and rank and within range, but your ACT may be a little low.

Hey, does anybody know what the difference is between the school of environmental and biological sciences vs. the school of arts and sciences is? I got accepted into the first school and my application for the second school is still processing. I applied as a biology major for both of them in hopes of entering med school afterward. Will both schools get me there, after four years that is?

is a 23 on the act(equals abt a 1590/2400 on sat) good for SAS at new brunswick for rutgers?

tomtom123, 23 ACT is on the lower side. However, your higher class rank and AP’s are on the positive side. Since you applied early, you should get into Arts and Sciences but may find it difficult to get in other “colleges” of Rutgers.
