Stanford is my top choice, and I really want to apply early. However, my parent's have been discouraging me from applying early because basically they think I have no chance... So I was hoping for some input from CC. Do I have a shot at Stanford SCEA?

SAT I: 2250 (770-750-730)
SAT II: Chem-750; Math II-720 (eh..); and taking one more this June.
GPA: UW-3.95 (one B+ both semesters in jr year, but I have all As for everything else. I hope this isn't too bad...)
Courses: All AP/Honors except for 1 class. Really rigorous...
Extracurriculars: I don't want to go into specifics (I'm a bit paranoid about this) but I do A LOT of volunteer work (major part of my life), and have leadership roles and awards in my main extracurriculars, music, etc. My parents are immigrants from Africa, and I do a lot of service work there when we go over the summer...
Gender: Female
Ethnicity: African American

^That was pretty general, but I hope I can get some input on whether or not to apply early. Thanks!

obviously they don’t understand the huge boost that your skin color gives you, because I think you have A GREAT CHANCE!
Being a URM is like adding 100-150 pts to your SAT (which would make it almost a perfect score + your academics sound top notch
I would assume that you’re near the top of your class?
obviously that’s not much to go off of (EC wise), but they sound good
If you can write some excellent essays then we just might see each other next year
(lol I think I’d sell a kidney to go to Stanford XD)

Good luck!

Oh and what region are you from, bc if you’re from the south or midwest that could give you a slight boost, the other regions won’t help you
