<p>Hey all! I was just wondering if anyone could chance me for merit or need based financial aid for some schools.
So here are the stats:
GPA- 92.5 (I know it's low, but hey, I've improved every year)
SAT- 760 CR 720 W 670 M
Will graduate with 9 AP classes (have taken 4 already, gotten 4 on each)
VERY competitive public school in NY.... A few years ago, Cornell accepted 40!

Charitable organizer for mural club
Forensics PF NYS qualifier
Intern for congressional campaign
Volunteer with animals over the summer.... Also teach campers environmental ethics
Writer for a local sports blog

I really am not sure if this counts but I have battled OCD all of my life. I wrote my commonapp essay about how I turned it into a positive experience.

Everyone I've showed my ca and supplements to has loved them. I'm quite happy with them.

<p>None of us can determine whether you will get need based aid by how much. It’s totally dependent on your family’s income and financial situation. If you are from 100k> the chance is you won’t get much. </p>
<p>I’m from NY too, people don’t get that public schools in our state can be hyper-competitive. I would say your SAT is exceptional, but your GPA may be a bit low. But if your school is tough, colleges will know it from your GC. I can only speak for some schools (since I don’t know all of them) but I’d say you’re out of the running for any financial aid if your parents make over $100k collectively with no extreme circumstances. Syracuse gives a load of merit, and BU is open to giving merit as well (friend got a full ride a couple years back). Maryland might not give as much, since it is public (assuming you’re talking about College Park). Hope this will help, and Case Western is really spontaneous with aid; valedictorian applied there last year and got NOTHING but my cousin got half tuition who was barely top 10% [no rhyme nor reason sometimes]. Hope this helped!</p>
