I don't know much about chances for scholarships, but I thought that you might not know that they award Presidential Scholarships for debate (lots of people assume it's only for performing arts areas). With all the awards that you seem to have in debate, it's worth looking into.

scholarships at wake are extremely hard to get. you have a great resume, but make sure to write an outstanding essay. they treat essays with a lot of weight.

You look like a great match for WFU. You know they won the national debate competition this year right? About the scholarships; are you a North Carolina resident? There are several scholarships earmarked for kids from NC. There are detailed descriptions of available scholarships listed in the WFU catalog. If you don’t have one, you can download it (PDF file) from the WFU website. We were actually shocked by how generous they were with financial aid for my daughter.
If you believe that Wake is the place for you, don’t worry about the money so much – it will work itself out. That being said, it’s a good idea to have a “plan B” in case it doesn’t. (Oh ye of little faith) : )

I am a Florida resident- if I do not receive merit money, it will be very difficult to attend. I would get full tuition at UF/FSU, not to mention a $6k National Merit scholarship at FSU and possibly even more merit money. I would love to attend Wake Forest, but only if the cost is competitive with the deals I already have on the table. Thanks for the replies everyone!
