Hi guys, so I'm a junior right now and starting to get really stressed about colleges.

Is there anyway you guys could chance me/give me some advice and/or options for schools I should be looking at?

Thank You!

bumpbump bump

GPA is good, sat is good but not great.

you DESPERATELY need something that will make you stand out.
whats your intended major?

Pomona is a reach.

Economics. I have a research internship and should have a supplement report to send in in the fall hopefully

Are you good enough to play at the DI level?

It’s funny because you and I are so similar. Great GPA, pretty good standardized testing (that at least is my weak point). We even both love ice hockey. haha anyway, if you’re not gonna play DI I’d say right now Harvard, Yale, Northwestern and UChicago are indeed reaches. I think UVA and Michigan are solid matches. I’m not from the west coast and can’t speak on Pomona’s behalf but Berkeley might be a low reach.
Chance me back?

GPA is good. SAT is good enough, but if you have the time to retake, you might want to consider it.

As for schools, taking Calc AB instead of BC really really hurts you. I would put Pomona and possibly Cal closer to the reach scale than the match scale.

Most of your ECs are lacking, you need more clubs/academic competitions. Your grades make you look smart, prove you are smarter than everyone else with your ECs.
You need to do more things like the econ research.

Good Luck!
Chance be back please

Might also look at Holy Cross and Bowdoin both strong econ majors and respected hockey programs.
