For Penn ED you need to fix some things...FAST!

You HAVE to have brilliant essays, flawless teacher recs

Make your EC's stand out- I saw some things that have potential but develop it!

BRING UP your GPA- we can't assess anything without looking at unweighed, since that's how all top schools generally matriculate it. Your weighted GPA looks quite low.

You have to bring up your SAT- it's very low right now! Shoot for 2200+. The correlation between high SAT's and admissions is not unnoticed and while one out of every four 2400's is rejected from Harvard, the merits of a high SAT score are not to be discredited, especially when you already have such a low GPA without anything evident to justify it.

Do you go to a well known, academically rigorous high school? In light of your gpa, that could help. Also, what is your grading scale and how many letter grades below an A have you recieved and in what courses?

Thanks...

For SAT's-- i can definatley get around a 2150 but i will try hard for a 2200

and my school runs a double curriculum so i have about twice the work and half the time to do it unlike a lot of other private schools. Also, there are only about 3 opportunities each year for an honors/AP class. Ive gotten mostly A's and A-'s except for a B+ in first semester 10th grade Geometry and a B in11th grade honors chemistry first semester. That's not counting 9th grade, but i've heard most schools don't count it as much

My GPA is more accuratley around a 3.95 and i think ill get it up to a 4.0 soon.

Anyone else?

i think you're good for most of these schools except washu and upenn...but thats what pretty much every1 else is tellin u

cool...

any other advice would be greatly appreciated

bump.............

I'm also thinking of applying to Northwestern...does that sound like a match?

P.S I was thinking of my GPA in terms of my double curriculum(Religious /General Studies), which brings me down a bit. A more accurate GPA is around a 3.75 UW and a 4.1-ish W, with a slight upward trend...does that affect my chances?

Thanks.
