Chances for sister.

She is a white female in her high school year. I was interested in knowing what her chances are for admission to her schools of main interest, which are:

She is applying for genetics/microbiology programs at all of those schools.

Public school in Illinois, mostly noncompetitive

GPA Unweighted: 4.6
Rank: 17/512

ACT First Try: 24 Composite
ACT Second Try: 26 Composite

Senoir Schedule:

AP Chemistry
AP Calculus AB
Finite Mathematics

AP Psychology
Sociology
Language, Composition, and Research

Extracurriculars, of which she has painfully few:

Sophomore Class Club (10)
Mu Alpha Theta (12)
Chior (9)

She is presetly attempting to found a new Literary Magazine Club, which she has (prematuraly) been putting on all of her applications. She is thusfar failing to find a sponsor.

... So what are her chances?

Thanks!

Anyone have thoughts?

I really don't know these schools as well, but I think she would most likely get into Illinois and Minnesota. Minneosta is looking to get more out of staters to attend, so that is a plus. Wisconsin will probably be the most difficult to get into. Other good schools which she may want to take a look at are MSU, IU and Purdue. Good luck!

Thanks; she is also looking into those schools.
