Schools
Brown (legacy)
BC (EA)
Tufts
Bowdoin
Colgate
UMASS
University of Vermont
Clark University

thanks for any feedback

Wow, our stats are really similar, and I'm applying some of the same schools as you too!

Anyway, I'd say Brown's a reach, just like it is for pretty much anyone, and Tufts might be a slight reach as well. The others you are likely to get into. Good luck.

Hopefully my essays will be the deciding factor. Good luck in the admissions process and thanks for the feedback

bumppppppppp!!!

I see so many people applying to same colleges as me...lol It's kinda scary how we'll be competing though

I guess many people have similar expectations for what they want from college. Personally I want a rich undergraduate experience with intimate faculty-student relations, a smaller school, and one where students revel in the achievement of others rather than competing to boost one's ego.

anyone? Feedback would be appreciated

Good EC's, as far as I can tell...go MUN, lol...

I see what you mean by variety...good luck!

if you are going for brown you should apply ed and since bc is restricted ea (meaning you cant apply anywhere ed if you are applying ea to bc..similar to georgetown's policy). you're legacy to brown will probably only help you if you apply ed because they will know that this is your first choice..if it is

brown isn't my first choice, and i won't be too distraught if I am denied in regular admission. I'm more concerned with my chances at the other schools.

Schools
Brown (legacy): reach
BC (EA): match
Tufts: match
Bowdoin: low reach
Colgate: match
UMASS: in
University of Vermont: in
Clark University: in

I like your EC's. GPA is good, and so is your class rank. Your SAT's scores aren't the best...but they are only one factor
-Your SAT II's are solid though-
If I were you I would take the ACT in December.

Write strong essays and GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!

I already took the ACTs, and they agreed with my SAT scores. I'm counting on my essays to tip the scales in my favor

Brown (legacy): slight reach
BC (EA): match
Tufts: match
Bowdoin: match
Colgate: match
UMASS: in
University of Vermont: in
Clark University: in

your stats are pretty good, and yeah if your essays are pretty good you should have no problem at all

Exactly how big were your model un awards?

Brown (legacy): depends on ECs and amount of involvement in that
BC (EA): low low reach, prob match
Tufts: low reach, if not match
Bowdoin: match
Colgate: match
UMASS: which one? just curious; you are in at all campuses
University of Vermont: in
Clark University: in

Good luck buddy. I think you have a shot at Brown, but if you don't get in, be happy with BC and Tufts and Bowdoin and Colgate; they're top tier schools in the country imo. Those are great choices for philosophy, history and the political sciences too. :) Good luck

It's UMASS Amherst. The model UN awards were best delegate and best position paper (hopefully I will add to that soon). MUN is huge at my school, and we have brought back awards from international conferences. Thanks for the response!

you have a good gpa and decent SAT's. Your EC's are pretty good. Just write that excellent essay and i wouldnt be worried at all.

Brown (legacy): reach
BC (EA): match
Tufts: low reach/high match
Bowdoin: match
Colgate: match
UMASS: in
University of Vermont: in
Clark University: in

Good Luck with Brown. I think you'll get into all of your other schools. those are all great schools to go to!

Brown (legacy) - low reach
BC (EA) - high match
Tufts - match, high match
Bowdoin - high match
Colgate - match
UMASS - match
University of Vermont - in
Clark University - in!

thanks for the input!

I'd agree with everyone except for Bowdoin, which is often underestimated. It is a very difficult school to get into. Id say slight reach

In at all except maybe Brown.
