thanks. anyone else?

I’d say you’re in at UMD, have a good chance at UVA,UNC and Hopkins. Cornell and Penn are a low reach.

UMD: in
UNC: reach (like ivy OOS)
UVA: again reach
Penn: mid reach
Hopkins: low reach
Cornell: low reach

Thanks for the chance!

UMD: in
UNC: high match/low reach (OOS)
UVA: ditto UNC
Penn: reach
Hopkins: high match
Cornell: low reach

Your ECs are slightly above average and your SAT/GPA is good. I would really just aim to nail those SAT IIs and you are pretty good to go. I am not sure about other schools but I know about Penn and Cornell:

Penn -mid/high reach
Cornell - low/mid reach

Good luck!

thanks guys

Hey could you chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/897889-chances-ivies-will-chance-back.html

The only thing you’d better add to your application are some sports. I think that they’re pretty important. Your application is really strong, but you never know with the ivies. I’d say in for Brown , UVA and maybe UPenn

edit: almost forgot. Be sure to score above 750+ on the SAT subject tests :)

thanks freedomoverdose…others?

UMD (in-state) - Safety
Chapel Hill - Match
UVA - Match
Hopkins - Match
Penn - Low reach
Cornell - Match

Thanks for chancing me earlier!

UMD: in
UNC: high match
UVA: high match
Penn: reach
Hopkins: low reach
Cornell: high match

I’m having a difficult time seeing you in Cornell or Penn.

Why’s that? As in my stats aren’t up to par, or I wouldn’t fit in?

Compare yourself to the resumes of the people who have been accepted in past 5ish years, then you will see.

I mean, people with much “better” resumes get rejected and people with “worse” ones get accepted, which is the case for most applicants.

Hmmm… Excellent GPA and great work on sticking with those extracurric’s. But so far that’s all you’ve got going for you - academics. You need to show colleges that you’re more than just somebody who gets A’s and a decent SAT (for most of these schools).

UMD (in-state), don’t know this school, in state means prob safety
Chapel Hill, in
UVA don’t know this one either
Hopkins, Low reach
Penn - Match
Cornell -Easier match than the previous 2 but still no telling.

There’s a reason why I said only look at the ones who were accepted. Think about it.
