Chances for some Ivies and others

<p>Pretty new to this whole thing, but I was hoping for some chances at these colleges. I am concerned I don't have a good safety school.</p>

<p>I was deferred early action to Yale, probably because it was my first application and the essays weren't very good...it was expected. Anyway, I just want to make sure I am accepted at least somewhere next year. Here are my stats:</p>

<p>As a white male in this world, it is sad but true that you need a special and unique hook to get you in the door! I would say you have great chances at Wake Forrest, BC, W&M, Emory, Hopkins, WashU and UChicago! But the ivys will be very tough! With that said, you are a very well qualified applicant and I think you should hold out hope! Good luck!</p>

<p>Harvard, Columbia, Dartmouth, Stanford, and Yale are total crapshoots for everyone, but I think you’ll do very well with the rest of your schools :).</p>
