SAT (should I retake?): 800 Math, 730 CR, 740 W
SAT II - Math II: 800, Spanish: 750, will take USH, Chem, Lit this May/June
Currently a junior</p>

<p>-Clarinet: All-district 3x, All-state 1x, Superior solo performance finishes, committed community Jazz ensemble member
-Boy Scouts: Eagle Scout with 1 palm, TONS of leadership, Order of the Arrow Member, some kickass expeditions
-Varsity Cross Country: some good regional finishes
-Some minor club memberships</p>

<p>You have the stats, but you need to stand out somehow. All ivies are still reaches for you at this point, which you indicated.</p>

<p>Also, how do band festivals work in Texas? In PA it’s district, region, state, but you didn’t mention region.</p>

<p>M&T is extremely hard to get in as you probably know already. Take a shot at it ED if you want so that way you can also RD to Wharton.</p>

<p>This is a tough list!!! Good job! I understand you have other safeties, but do you think you want to apply to all those reaches? It will be pricey. I think your college counselors will suggest you cut down the list. I’m not sure how your school works but many many schools allow students to have well over a 4.0 GPA so this makes it seem like yours is lower. </p>

UCLA - no guarentee, over 90k applicants. you seem good though!
NYU-Stern - yes, match
UVA - if you’re in state, then yes
UMich Ross - Umich you’re a guarantee, but Ross is super selective. not totally a guarantee. </p>
