My essays - if anyone would like to give me advice on these, feel free. They are kind of shots in the dark. I think for my commonapp essay I will do the diversity one, and discuss my experiences as a pupil of the Gifted Program (the Academy) mixed with the EXTREME diversity of my school ("bad" side of town, gang violence, over 50% of students below poverty line, etc) and how my perspective grew from the memories I share with my basketball team (non-Academy students) and my friends (all Academy students). Two totally separate groups of people.

For my short answer about an activity, I was thinking of talking about rowing. It's a rare EC and I can talk about the passion my mentor gave me for the sport that requires quite a bit of dedication.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF EITHER OF THOSE SOUND LIKE BAD IDEAS. I HONESTLY HAVE NO IDEA.
