I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I am a swedish girl applying to prep school for this fall (Choate, Loomis Chaffee, Deerfield, Hotchkiss, Westminster and St Georges) and I'm wondering about my chances. My score on the SSAT was a 92, and a 99 on the math section. I have mainly swedish As (an american A+) only a B (american A-) in Swedish and French. I am a nationally ranked backstroker and I am in contact with the coach at Choate, and she has said that she wants me on their team because of my strong 800 time. In my application I wrote passionately about my love for math and physics and bullying and how bullying could be stopped. My first choice is Choate, second Hotchkiss an third Westminster.

How are your teacher recommendations? If you need FA, it’s unlikely you’ll be accepted. But if you don’t and your teacher recommendations are good, then you’re an easy in. Especially if the coach is talking to you.

I have strong teacher recommendations and recommendations from some really important people (alumni, and influential people)

I think you have a good chance at Choate then.

I just wanted to add that I will not need FA

Haha I have no idea why you’re even posting here then. You’ll get accepted without a problem.

That made me feel a lot better thanks

yea, you are solid.

I think everyone’s anxious. March cannot get here fast enough.

I think your chances are very good… Good SSAT, grades, excellent swim credentials, international applicant, etc… I think you will make it in… Good luck.
