<p>Senior year grades may not count as heavily as your 3.1 GPA, as some SUNY's have rolling admission. My kid started getting her SUNY admissions in January. So with a 3.1 (85 average ???- we do not do GPA's in my area) and 1160 SAT, IMO you got a shot at Buffalo but it is not a sure thing. I think Geneseo and Bing and Penn State are even harder to get into--

I am pretty familiar with the SUNY Colleges- so if you want a few ideas re: Suny colleges, just give a yell!!</p>
<p>Agree with Marny that Buffalo is your best bet and that you need to add some safer schools. The other 3 are pretty tough to get into. I would look at some of the other SUNY colleges and maybe add some schools like Towson, UMASS Amherst, UNH, URI, Hofstra and Siena. Good luck!</p>
