I think you’ll make it into Cornell ED, the acceptance rate is around 30%, and your stats seem strong enough for that. You’ll definitely make most of the other colleges you listed, they are all reasonable.

Not to give you any false hope…but, if you are from California and looking at your overall record I would not shortchange yourself by applying to Cornell ED (which is BINDING)… Depending on how good your ESSAYS and RECOMMENDATIONS are you definitely have chances at Berkeley, UCLA, Harvey Mudd, Caltech and even possibly Stanford…

…I know Stanford is the hardest school to get into in the country…but I have seen enough students over the years who get into Stanford for one reason or another who may not have the PERFECT RESUME…and have seen PERFECT candidates with 2400 SAT, 4.6 GPA get rejected…you never know. Same goes with all top schools…

…unless, you really love and can’t live without Cornell do not tie your and your parents’ hands so early…

Think about it.
Good luck.

P.S. You only live once…you don’t want to regret not having tried to get into Caltech or Stanford with your record…and think what could have been.

Wow, Thanks So Much! I never thought I would have a chance for Stanford! I always thought that my GPA was too low so I didn’t really bother with it.

Sorry I don’t think you’re e.c.'s/gpa is good enough for an above average shot at Stanford. Sure you can apply, but chances are you’ll get selected into Cornell ED first.

I might apply Early-Action to Stanford because it is non-binding. I have no interest in going to Caltech.

Your UC GPA is 4.21. Stanford usually ignores Freshman grades…if you go to their website you can do some more research…
