This year: English Literature, Chemistry, BC Calculus (The only AP's my school offers that I haven't taken are American History, Calc AB, Spanish, and Biology which you are not allowed to take if you take Chemstry.)

The rest of my classes have all been at the highest level offered, including a three year independent research course.
Also I am taking two classes through Syracuse University.

Work Experience:
1 Summer Ice Cream Stand

Recomendations:

Counselor: Amazing

Essay: Heart-felt essay about how my brother's cancer has motivated me to pursue a career in medicine.

Awards:
National Hispanic Merit Scholar

Working on Gold Award (Also girl scouts)
Regents Scholarship (NYS only)

Also:
Attended Johns Hopkins CTY summer programs twice. Once after 5th grade (with a scholarship), and once after 9th. Couldn't afford to do it more times.

EC's:
Girl Scout since kindergarten
Softball (9th)
Student Government General Officer (9,11)
Math, Science, English, Social Studies Honor Societies (either one or two years which ever is maximum allowed at school)
National Honor Society (11,12)
+100 hours community service.
Co-Organizer of a Hockey tournament which raised more than 15,000 dollars for cancer research.

From the end of my freshman year to the middle of my junior year I was sick with an undiagnosed illness and could not do many EC's offered by my school. I kept my grades up and did a lot of creative writing (which I plan on publishing and have been receiving help from an editor in editing) . All this was addressed by my counselor recommendation and may or may not have been addressed by a second essay, I can't remember for the life of me.

Schools Applied: Yale, Harvard, Johns Hopkins (top choice), Georgetown (EA defered), University of Maryland College Park (Priority Ap), SUNY Stony Brook, Ithaca College

Admitted: Washington College (in Maryland)

Bumping...

reach to ivies
Hopkins - low reach
don't know about the new york schools
Georgetown - reach

Hopefully you distinguished yourself in the essay because many people write about family members' cancer and their aspiration to go into medicine.

O wait your hispanic, that will help you a little.

I tied the cancer to a lot of other things in my life so I think I'm okay there. Not amazing, but not run of the mill either.

Also I was just accepted to Ithaca with a 16K a year scholarship. Washington is giving me 20K a year.

Bumping, but now:
Admitted to: Washington College (20,000 a year), Ithaca (16K a year), Stony Brook, UM College Park (Honors Program).
So I'm curious abut the remaining four
Harvard, Yale, Johns Hopkins, Georgetown (deferred EA)

You're a URM with those stats? I'd say really strong chance at Hopkins as well as Georgetown, and slight reaches for the Ivys.

If you have a note from your counselor explaining the EC problem then you have a good chance everywhere with the Ivy's being reaches. Also being a URM helps alot.

From the looks of it, I think you still got quite a good shot at Georgetown. However, you have to maintain a high academic standard. Also, if there's anything new, send it in! I think the same goes with John Hopkins. Both are low reaches/high matches, but if you trust in yourself, you can do it!

Yale and Harvard are well.... hard to say. lol

Can you please help me out? Thanks in advance!

I actually just answered that thread before I saw your reply.
I was a little blunt, but I stand by what I say even though I didn't mean any offense by it.

Bump.
