SATs
I haven't taken the SAT for real, but my PSAT/practice test best composite score is 730/590/750 (2070). I am working on improving my score with books and prep! I know it needs to be higher! I hope to raise it to 2200 or higher to get National Merit status.

*I am president/team captain of the debate team for 10th and 11th. I have gotten many local-level awards, have qualified for state and national competitions, and have gotten awards at the state and national level. For anyone familiar with debate, I am going to attend Crestian, Blue Key, and Wake Forest next year, and I have a degree of special distinction as of now (about 650 points).

does anyone have any input?

UF is a safety cuz.
Duke is a reach
Vandy: slight reach
Emory: match
Wake: match

Thank you for your input! I'm not 100% sure that UF will be a safety for me. Many people are unaware of UF's growing reputation as a competitive school- I've heard of people with high stats getting rejected.

Does anyone else have any input? Thanks!

Overall, you look pretty good for most of the schools your applying to. Your class rank and GPA is where it needs to be as are the two 700 parts of your PSAT score. A couple of suggestions: try to raise the 590 so that it's up at least 50 or so points and make sure that you're passionate about your ECs (you don't have as many as other candidates which is fine; it just means you need to make sure that you come across as passionate about what you are doing).

Chances on a scale of: high reach, reach, semi-reach, good fit, likely, safety.

University of Florida... SAFETY. In-state.
Duke University... REACH.
Vanderbilt University... SEMI-REACH.
Wake Forest University... GOOD FIT.
Emory University... SEMI-REACH.

Thanks, I am very passionate about debate and I hope to be recruited by a college team. I am taking an SAT prep class this summer and probably next summer, I have the books and a tutor, and I know that my math SAT score is holding me back from some better universities.

Does anyone else have any input/suggestions? Thanks!

UPDATE: Today I took a practice test, improving my composite score to 2100 (CR/M/W: 730/620/750). Thanks!
