Chances for Stanford, Columbia, Duke, UC Berkeley, UCLA, UMich, UNC, UCSD

I am a high school junior and want to know what I can feasibly get into. I am on applying to a variety of schools, and yes, I have safeties, but for the purposes of this, I’ve only listed my target and reach schools:

Objective:
GPA: 3.8 Unweighted, 4.2 Weighted, 4.15 UC GPA
SAT: 1540
ACT: 35
School Type: Very competitive Public
Rank: N/A
Intended major(s): Want to go Pre-Med, so biology/chemistry related
Location: California
Ethnicity/Race: Indian
Income Bracket: High

Coursework:
All honors classes
APs: Chem, Bio so far, AB Calc, Environmental Science, and Stats next year (School doesn’t allow non-language APs as underclassmen) (Haven’t taken AP exams or SAT II tests)

Awards/important recommendations:
Prestigious Internship at Stanford in upcoming summer (waiting on SIMR and CANARY, already got into a prestigious lab)
Stanford STaRS Reconstructive Surgery Internship (2% Acceptance Rate) as a rising junior - Have a letter of rec from a well-known Stanford professor
Top 20 in the State of CA in the Geo Bee (Was in 8th grade, but I thought I should throw it in anyway)

Extracurriculars:
Eagle Scout
Editor-in-Chief of one of the nation’s best HS newspapers
Editor-in-Chief of my school’s comedy newspaper (like the Onion but at a school level, has over 1000 likes on FB)
Interned at a Biotech Startup between 9th and 10th

Concerns:
Got a B+ in AP Bio first semester.

Thoughts?

I don’t know much about UC GPAs, but your UW/W seem solid & your ACT is obviously very good. It seems like you have a strong affiliation with Stanford’s departments, but it’s hard to gauge because you don’t give any indication about the strength of your essays. Overall, I’d say:

Stanford: Accept/Waitlist
Columbia: Waitlist
Duke: Accept/Waitlist
UC Berkeley: Accept
UCLA: Accept
UMich: Accept
UNC: Accept
UCSD: Accept

Best of luck! Chance me back? http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1966406-chance-me-upenn-ed-yale-brown-princeton-etc-will-chance-back-p1.html

Your academic record and standardized test scores, coupled with an impressive high school career place you ahead of much of the applicant pool at the last five schools on your list. For the others, I do feel that the decisions will be in favor, but it depends on how much you could communicate from the personal standpoint. The opinions of your recommenders and teachers would be weighed in heavily at these schools, so nothing can be said for sure. They need ever fewer reasons to deny admission to qualified candidates. But overall, I think you could get into 2 of Stanford, Duke and Columbia. And it could be all of them too.

For whatever the decisions may bring, best of luck!
