Chances for Stanford CS PhD

Hi! I was wondering what my chances are to get into Stanford for a PhD in Computer Science. Here are my stats:

Undergraduate major: mathematics at a top state university
Undergraduate GPA: 3.5
Research: published first-author paper in undergrad
Master’s at a top 10 graduate CS program
Master’s GPA: 4.0
6 years of industry experience

I am also thinking of Berkeley, MIT, and UW.

What are your thoughts?

You don’t mention your GRE but from what you state, you certainly have a chance at these schools. Remember, however, that Stanford, Berkeley, and MIT are highly selective programs and they only admit a small fraction of their applicants for Ph.D. It wouldn’t be a reflection on your credentials, just a numbers game. UW (Washington or Wisconsin?), is probably a bit less selective. Make sure there is a safety school that you are happy to attend in the mix.
