And of course, 8 people in my family went to Standford, both parents, aunt, uncle, 2 grandparents, 1 great aunt, and my great-grandfather (class of 1928 woo woo)

Will my legacy help at all? As you kow the difficulty in getting has increased, my great-grandfather practically walked in the door and signed up.

Your chances are pretty solid --

Hard one because Stanford takes a lower percentage of legacies than any other top school, half what most ivies take at under 25%. But you should be a good test case as a double legacy, maybe they'll up your chances to 50%. Has your family been generous? Also, most top schools claim their accepted legacies have above average stats which you don't. Let us know.

applying early?
legacies applying early have way higher chances
